This will depend on the amount of times you transmit. While the radio is transmitting it is using a large amount of current from the battery. When receiving a message, extra current is used (not nearly as much as when transmitting) and the higher the volume the more the battery is drained. So, a battery could last for thirty six or more hours if the radio was turned on and no meaages were received, or as little as two hours with almost continuous transmission. Of course all of the above depends on the age and condition of the battery.
